Offer prepared: Man United ready to bid €60m for outstanding 21-year-old

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make an offer of around €60m for the transfer of Benfica sensation Andreas Schjelderup.

The talented 21-year-old is fast establishing himself as one of the most exciting prospects in Europe, leading to interest from the likes of Man Utd and Barcelona.

That’s according to a report from Fichajes, which adds that the Red Devils hope to move into a strong position to sign Schjelderup by moving forward with a €60m offer to Benfica.

United could do with adding a bit more spark to their attack this summer, as we’re yet to truly see the best out of Matheus Cunha since his move to Old Trafford, while even Bryan Mbeumo’s form has faded a bit as the season has gone on.

Andreas Schjelderup to Manchester United looks like one to watch

It has seemed the case for a while that we could see Schjelderup move to the Premier League, as he’s attracted interest from big clubs in England for a few years now.

O Jogo previously linked the Norway international as a target for Liverpool, while Goal also reported on him having trials with big clubs like Bayern Munich and Juventus when he was 17 years old.

Schjelderup is now more experienced and has proven himself at the highest level, so it could be the right time for MUFC to try bringing him in to become a key player.

Capable of playing a variety of attacking roles, and possessing natural skill, flair, and intelligence to his game, it’s easy to imagine Schjelderup being a big hit with the United fans if he can go on to fulfil his enormous potential.
